The Venetian Casino Resort in Las Vegas is criss crossed by several canals where gondolas ferry tourists around.
The Las Vegas Strip uses 3% of al the water in Las Vegas. Pat Mulroy, director of the Southern Nevada Water Authority praises the cooperation of the Casino owners in her efforts to curb water waste.
According to a plaque near the entrance to the Casino, "This feature is operating in compliance with the drought ordinance. A water efficiency and drought response plan is on file with the Southern Nevada Water Authority."
